RECONSTRUCTION OF THE AMPHITHEATRE AT THE ETF COMPLETED

As one of the leading companies in the country, Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES) endeavours to be present in all areas important for the Montenegrin society. In addition to the tendency to fulfil our primary task and obligation related to the quality of electricity supply to consumers connected to the transmission system, our company sees its role in the active and constant contribution to the development of the community in which it operates.

Cooperation between the company and educational institutions such as the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF) - Podgorica, which is reflected in specific projects and programmes, numerous donations and sponsorships, student internships aimed at getting to know our power system, has contributed to even greater success of our company in the field of social responsibility. It is in this way that we manage to respond even better to the great social needs, especially in today's time, which implies solidarity and empathy in every respect.

As a socially responsible company, which has always had a special sensibility towards domestic intelligence, acquiring knowledge and training future staff, primarily electrical engineers, CGES donated EUR 20,000 to ETF to support student education through the modernisation of amphitheatre 016, i.e. through the improvement of working conditions of both students and teaching staff. In that way, we have provided excellent conditions for electrical engineering students because this educational institution is a real nursery for our future engineers, who will certainly give their full contribution through further engagement, and at the same time, respond to all the challenges of the future. CGES is recognised as one of the largest employers of electrical engineers, and for this reason, we perceive ETF as a strategic partner in the field of higher education. This act of ours is another confirmation of the symbiosis of CGES and ETF, from which, of course, students benefit the most.

By modernising the amphitheatre 016, CGES has provided adequate conditions for teaching, while through the implemented practice and participation in joint projects, ETF students are already trained to solve specific practical problems during their studies.

In addition to investing in educational institutions, CGES also provides wholehearted assistance to the health system, environmental protection, and encourages the development of culture, arts, sports, education, etc. That this business policy is right and that we are doing a good thing is also confirmed by the public opinion, i.e. the recognitions and awards that this electric power company received during the previous period for social philanthropy projects.
