Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES) and the Paralympic Committee (POK) signed a new sponsorship contract today and extended their cooperation for another year.
The contract on general sponsorship was signed by the Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović, and the President of POK, Igor Tomić.
Tomić reminded that CGES is the first general sponsor of the umbrella association of sport for persons with disabilities and that the cooperation has been ongoing since 2018.
He said that they are continuing a fine tradition, which is now more friendly than business and sponsoring.
According to him, they continue to cooperate with the general sponsor with a record contract in an extremely important, historic Paralympic year.
“On behalf of our children, our athletes, the Montenegrin Paralympians, I want to say a sincere thank you for once again showing the level of social responsibility as one of the most successful companies. Thank you personally, Mr Asanović, your team, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Aleksandar Mijušković," Tomić said.
Congratulating him on the award for the most successful manager, Tomić said that he believes that he received the award not only because of his business results, but also because of the results he shows as a man of high professional and moral standards.
“You yourself are initiating the constant growth of support for the Paralympians, and I am sure that they, like many times before, will give back in the best way. And let it return to you professionally and, what is much more important, in terms of family, in the right way. In the way you give to Montenegrin society, POK and the Paralympians. Let's move on together”, Tomić said.
Asanović said that he personally, as well as the company he heads, are especially glad that they are the general sponsor of the umbrella association of sport for people with disabilities.
“Signing the sponsorship contract represents a great promotion of inclusiveness, specific support for athletes with disabilities who have already become our true friends and companions through the years of companionship. We are very happy to be able to help in this way as a good and successful company”, Asanović said.
He wished the Montenegrin Paralympians success in all competitions this year.
“"We want you to be successful in all competitions because your success is also ours and represents a great motivation for us. Your successes are the victory of the spirit, it is the victory of spiritual and inner strength and will over all the obstacles that life presents. That's why your successes are particularly inspiring for us", Asanović said.
He emphasised that every medal and success of a Paralympian is much greater than any managerial recognition.
"We wish you every competition to be successful, especially the one in Paris. We will be with you, we will cheer you on and I hope for great results. We are proud that, as a small country, we are exceptionally represented. I hope that our friendship and general sponsorship will last for a long time", said Asanović.
He also appealed to other companies in Montenegro to support the Paralympics in the extremely challenging year of 2024.
The CEO of CGES, as a sign of gratitude for the company's support, was presented with symbolic gifts by the athletes who won a direct qualification to the Paralympic Games in Paris - table tennis players Filip Radović and Luka Bakić and athlete Maja Rajković.
