Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem is pleased to inform the public that the new 110/35 kV substation "Žabljak" has been energized, as well as the 110 kV transmission line from Brezna to Žabljak, thus opening the door to numerous benefits for this Montenegrin tourist center.
The Žabljak substation, worth five million euros, is the first transmission substation in the municipality of Žabljak to increase the sustainability and efficiency of our tourism sector. With a more stable power supply to consumers, improved infrastructural capacities and ecologically sustainable solutions, we create the foundations for the growth of tourism, that is, we enable the further development of Žabljak.
The construction of the transmission line on the section from Brezna to Žabljak would allow CGES to continue the construction activities on the priority project of the Trans Balkan Corridor, which would connect Italy with the countries of Southeastern Europe across the whole of Montenegro.
