Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem donated 11,000 euros for the purchase of IT and electronic equipment for ten educational institutions that belong to the Public Preschool Institution (PPI) Ljubica Popović, thereby providing better working conditions for teachers and children.
On this occasion, the Executive Director of CGES, Ivan Asanović, visited the educational unit Simba in Podgorica and officially handed over the valuable donation, which was received by Director Vesna Nikolić in front of the PPI Ljubica Popović.
Executive Director Asanović said that Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem continuously invests in knowledge, education, sport, environmental protection, humanitarian actions, and that without exception it gives priority to projects that promote real values.
“We believe that with this donation we have made the work easier for those people who care about the future of our society, about our children. We continued to invest in the upbringing and education of our youngest, and I am extremely happy that this unit was our choice", Director Asanović stressed.
The Director of PPI Ljubica Popović, Vesna Nikolić, said that the era of digitisation of the PPI Ljubica Popović begins as of today and that they will be fully prepared to respond to the challenges before them with the donated funds. Nikolić stressed that preschool institutions participate in the Digital School (MNE: Digitalna škola) programme, created in cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the UNICEF representative office in Montenegro, which represents a treasure trove of diverse and high-quality educational content for children, adolescents, their parents, educators and teachers.
“Thanks to the CGES donation in the form of computers and smart TVs, the process of introducing and acquainting children with the digital world in the right way, in accordance with the goals of raising and educating preschool children, will be much easier for our educators”, Director Nikolić stressed.
The valuable donation is the first step towards the digitisation of preschool institutions, and it is of particular importance that the social community recognises the importance of the challenges faced by educational institutions in Montenegro. By providing support in the part of missing equipment, the entire education system is improved and encourages the development of services that facilitate education, communication and cooperation.
