SUCCESSFUL PAPER PRESENTATION - REMOTE ACCESS TO SECONDARY SYSTEMS OF CGES TRANSFORMER STATIONS

The Professional Chamber of Electrical Engineers organized an expert meeting called "Fourth Days of Electrical Engineers IKCG". Our colleague Mladen Kasalica, electrical engineer, also took part in the webinar, who as a co-author, had a notable and very successful presentation of a very good paper: REMOTE ACCESS TO SECONDARY SYSTEMS OF CGES TRANSFORMER STATIONS, with a topic that was especially popular during the pandemic. In addition to engineer Kasalica, the authors of the paper were also Ivan Asanović, electrical engineer from CGES, as well as colleagues dr Ivan Strnad and Ivan Višić from the company PRO INTEGRIS from Split.

The topic of the paper was the implementation of a system for remote access to process networks and integration of new facilities into the NDC SCADA system, which is implemented through the investment project "NDC114".

With regard to the benefits of the implementation of this system, we emphasize the most important ones, first of all, controlling network devices and network traffic and quickly detecting and eliminating problems in the process network, as well as standardization and access to process networks. Certainly, the benefits include faster, more efficient and better analysis of operational events, as well as more agile performance of regular work on the maintenance of secondary systems. Benefits also include faster and more efficient response in case of failures as the adequate IT protection of the process network.
