At today's Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting of CGES, which was held in Podgorica, the previous convocation of the Board of Directors of the Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem, headed by the Chairwoman of that body Vesna Bracanović, was removed. The shareholders also confirmed the decision to appoint new members of the Board of Directors, so in the future the state capital in CGES will be represented by: Aleksandar Mijušković, B.Sc.E.E., Predrag Mijajlović, B.Sc.E.E., Orhan Šahmanović, LLB and Dušan Kljajić, B.Sc. in Applied Computer Sciences. Jelena Matejić, BEcon, will represent the joint-stock company Elektromreža Srbije in CGES Board, while Giovanni Cerchiarini and Guido Guida will represent the Italian energy company Terna - Rete Elettrica Nazionale S.p.A.

On the same day, a constitutive meeting of the newly elected Board of Directors was held, at which it was decided that Aleksandar Mijušković will cover the role of the Chairman of the Board of Directors in the next term, while Giovanni Cerchiarini was entrusted with the role of Vice Chairman.

The new Chairman of the Board of Directors Aleksandar Mijušković pointed out that the election is a great honour and responsibility for him, but also a great obligation for the management and all employees to reach a common goal - a modern international electric power company that aims to implement capital projects that would encourage the inflow of new investments in Montenegro.

“I am convinced that all of us together in the company, on the path of its development strategy, will put maximum efforts to become a transmission system operator that with its progress, and following the best European practice, will provide at all times a high level of security of electricity transmission to consumers in Montenegro. We definitely can and will do that", Mijušković said, reminding that he has already worked at CGES, that he knows this company and all its potentials.
