Works on the installation of a new transformer worth almost two million euros are underway in substation ''Podgorica 2''. This will provide a higher level of power system reliability, especially in the consumption areas of Podgorica, the Montenegrin coast, and Cetinje.
Substation "Podgorica 2" is one of the five so-called large-scale substations owned by the Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem and one of the most important substations in our power system. The new transformer will, through the distribution network, provide a safer power supply for the consumers of the above consumption areas.
After completion of this work, the installation of another transformer in the substation "Lastva" will follow, which will also contribute to increasing the level of power supply for the consumers on the Montenegrin coast.
As a reminder, at the end of last year, Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem put into operation two new transformers in the substations Kotor and Nikšić, which is altogether more than 5.3 million euros invested in four new transformers, thus providing a more reliable supply of electricity to consumers in the northern, central and coastal part of our country.
