Pursuant to the Law on Cross Border Exchanges in Electricity and Gas, the obligation of the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System as an operator is to establish regional cooperation within the ENTSO-E and promote operational arrangements at the regional level for the purposes of coordinated allocation of cross-border capacities on an equal basis according to market principles. The manner and procedures for allocation of available transmission capacities on the interconnectivity of Montenegro and Italy are specified by the rules for allocation of cross-border capacities. Pursuant to the CGES Board of Directors Decision of 7 November 2019, these rules were approved by the Energy Regulatory Agency at the session held on 14 November 2019.
