Financing agreement was signed by Dragan Kujović, CGES Executive Director and Jörg Meilicke, Director for Montenegro and region.
The signing of this agreement is the first step towards the construction of electric power infrastructure in the electricity transmission system in the Luštica peninsula. This project includes the construction of a new substation 110/35 kV in Radovići, extension of substation 110/35 kV in Tivat, laying underground 110 kV cables connecting substation Radovići with existing overhead line 110 kV “Tivat-Budva”. It also includes the implementation of a new overhead line 110 kV “Lastva-Kotor”, as well as reconstruction of overhead line 110 kV line “Tivat-Lastva”.
The implementation of this significant investment will ensure much higher security and reliability of power supply to all consumers in this coastal area of Montenegro, as well as capacities for the connection of new tourist complexes, the construction of which is included in plan. We will also connect power facilities in the coastal area of our country.
The project itself will condition tourism development in the Luštica area, leading to the conclusion that we can expect considerable social and economic benefits for both the country and that part of the littoral.
