Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem donated two thousand euro to the non-governmental organization "Healthy Dona Montenegrina", which promotes the importance of prevention and fight against breast cancer.
In cooperation with "Healthy Dona Montenegrina", Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem organized for its colleagues a lecture by Dr Nada Cicmil on "Prevention of breast cancer, everything you want to know and ask". In this way, the Company sent a strong message in favour of supporting the activities of the non-governmental organization "Healthy Don Montenegro" in the fight against this type of cancer, and at the same time showed how it cares for its most important resource-staff, allowing them to learn more about this topic.
Oncologist at the Clinic for Oncology and Radiotherapy at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), Dr Nada Cicmil, emphasized the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer and data on a decline in mortality from this disease in developed countries, primarily due to the prevention and implementation of screening program. "If breast cancer is detected at an early stage, the five-year survival rate is about 96 percent", explained inter alia Dr Cicmil.
In addressing her colleagues, CGES Board of Directors Chairwoman Vesna Bracanović emphasized "taking care of yourself, prevention and regular check-ups are of paramount importance. I would like to note that you should take care of your health for preventive reasons, because health care is particularly important. Beware of yourself and your health, and CGES will always be with you" told Bracanović.
A member of NGO “Healthy Dona Montenegrina” Dijana Laković informed the participants that this organization aims at raising awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer, providing support to patients and their families, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
Tatjana Dragović, CGES’ employee, pointed out that thanks to a two-hour educational meeting with Dr Nada Cicmil and the representatives of NGO "Healthy Dona Montenegrina", her colleagues and she received useful information on how to take care of their health and methods of breast cancer prevention. One of important segments of CGES’ actions is to continuously take care of its employees.
