Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem (CGES), in cooperation with the Union of Secondary School Students of Montenegro (UNSCG) supported the project under the name “Action Day”.
Within this project, 10 students selected by the Union of Secondary School Students spend a part of the work day in CGES.
Students were divided into two groups of which one visited the National Dispatching Centre (NDC) and was informed about the work in this organisational unit of CGES, which is in charge of operative control of the electricity transmission system, while the second group of students volunteered in SS Zagorič where they were acquainted with the work in the control room, as well as 220/110/35 kV switchgear.
The “Action Day” project is the first project of such type in Montenegro, while in countries of Western and Northern Europe has been organised since 1968, and it implies that students from across the country, for one day, get the opportunity to be employed for a certain period of time at the job they choose, or provided for them by the project organiser, without the obligation to go to school during these 24 hours.
