Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem hosted during the previous days the 12th ordinary regional meeting of representatives of transmission system operators of South-East Europe (Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania, Turkey and Kosovo), in order to harmonize the plan of disconnection of relevant elements of 400, 220 and 110 kV voltage level.
The process of planning disconnection of elements of European interconnection electrical grid plays an important role in operative control.
In order to maintain the security of operative conditions of grid functioning and guarantee an appropriate level of reliability, it is necessary to work regularly on maintenance, which requires disconnection of elements. Moreover, disconnections are also necessary for performance of work on enhancing capacity in switchgears or for installation of new grid elements.
According to the rules in relation to coordinated operative planning applied in interconnection (Operation Handbook of ENTSO-E), transmission system operators are obliged to harmonize the Annual plan of disconnections for the previous year. For jobs regarding coordination in carrying out of the agreed plan, each year is nominated on of the transmission system operators of South-East Europe.
Guests at the meeting were also representatives of the Security Coordination Center Belgrade (SCC).
Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem will be the Coordinator for 2016.
