Aleksandar Mijušković at the helm of the Board of Directors of CGES

At the XI Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting held today in Podgorica, the shareholders of Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem dismissed and then appointed the members of the Board of Directors.

The majority of the members of the Board of Directors at today's constitutive meeting, which was held after the Shareholder Meeting, appointed Aleksandar Mijušković as the Chairman of this highest body. Giacomo Donnini was also appointed as the Vice Chairman from the ranks of the Italian company Terna, while the following members were re-elected: Zdravko Blečić, MSc in State Legal and European Studies, Almedina Husović, LLB, and Mijat Mirković, BScEE. Jelena Matejić, BEcon, will represent the joint-stock company Elektromreža Srbije in CGES Board as she did in the past, while the previous members Giacomo Donnini and Guido Guida will represent the Italian energy company Terna - Rete Elettrica Nazionale S.p.A.

When taking over the role, Mijušković expressed his satisfaction that he was once again entrusted with the task and that CGES will continue with the previous results in all fields of business.

“We will be even stronger, more successful and more persistent in our intention to make CGES a modern international company that makes progress in all segments of operation. We are on a good path to achieve that. We have put our priorities in order, so number one is the need to ensure reliable transmission of electricity to all our users. Increasingly strict requirements regarding the quality of power supply, providing prerequisites for coupling the electricity markets in the region, the necessity of coordinating procedures with other transmission systems in the interconnection, implementation of the most modern technological solutions and numerous investments are still challenges for our company, but at the same time they strengthen it day by day", Aleksandar Mijušković concluded.
