Montenegro is currently undergoing extensive development focusing on key areas such as Tourism, Energy, Agriculture and Rural development and Manufacturing industry, in line with the new Montenegro Development Directions 2018-2021. Increase of economic activities and development projects is resulting in constant increase of electricity demand. The coastal area of Montenegro has several ongoing capital infrastructure and tourism development projects, including the development of Lustica region. Strengthening of the electricity infrastructure has been recognized as one of the most demanding and needed precondition for successful implementation of infrastructure development projects. The Luštica region development is part of Montenegro development plans in the coastal area. During the process of preparation and adoption of the Special Purpose Spatial Plan for Coastal Zone (SPSP CZ) of Montenegro, the Strategic Environmental Analyses (SEA) was developed, in accordance with the Montenegrin environmental protection and other relevant legislation. The present Scoping Report is in line with the provisions of the SEA.
