Today, the Board of Directors of Crnogorski elektroprenosni sistem, headed by Aleksandar Mijušković, the Chairman of this body, removed Dragan Kujović as Executive Director and appointed Ivan Asanović, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, as Acting Executive Director pursuant to the Companies Act.
Significant business experience, continuous education, specialisation and managerial skills possessed by Ivan Asanović determined that the members of the Board of Directors of CGES to unanimously decide on his appointment to this position.
Asanović is appointed to the position of Acting Executive Director from the position of the Head of the Department for SCADA, SBN and Billing Measuring in CGES.
On the occasion of the appointment, Ivan Asanović pointed out that he is honoured and pleased to represent CGES from the position of Executive Director in the future because it is a company with great potential, which is recognised as a leader in its field not only in the country but also beyond. "My intention is to use all the opportunities that will appear in the way of progress of this company, to ensure its growth, to strengthen corporate values and in cooperation with employees, who are the most important capital, and to create a good atmosphere, giving maximum contribution in achieving common goals. Ivan Asanović’s CV
Ivan Asanović was born in 1982 in Podgorica, where he graduated from the Elementary School "Vlado Milić" and the Gymnasium "Slobodan Škerović". He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Montenegro in Podgorica, where he obtained the title of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Department of Energy and Automation.
He began his professional experience in 2005 in the international construction company "CYVAS General Trade LTD" - Cyprus, as an engineer for electrical works and automation during the construction of the new airport terminal in Podgorica.
He started his employment in Elektroprivreda Crne Gore – Functional Unit Prenos in 2006 as a Substation Maintenance Engineer in the Maintenance Department. Since 2009, he has worked as the Chief Engineer for Substation Maintenance. As part of his work in this Department, he participated in the implementation of several investment projects for the reconstruction of substations and replacement of high-voltage equipment in various positions, from a member of the Project Revision Commission to a responsible works manager and supervising engineer.
Since 2010, he has actively participated in the implementation of the international investment project of submarine interconnection Montenegro-Italy, and in 2011 he managed the project of construction of SS 400/110/35 kV Lastva and extension of the existing SS 400/220/110 kV Pljevlja 2, during which he gained significant work experience.
From 2011 to 2019, he was the Head of the Department for Secondary and Information Systems. Within the work of this Department, he participated in the implementation of several significant investments, of which the projects of enhancement of the existing SCADA system, preparation of the Reserve Dispatch Centre, as well as the implementation of the new SCADA and EMS system can be singled out.
He gained respectable experience by being a member of international working groups as a representative of CGES. On this occasion, we would like to single out committees for network development within ENTSO-E, as well as committees for research, development and innovation.
He is a member of the Chamber of Chamber of Engineering of Montenegro, the national and Paris committee of CIGRE (International Council on Large Electric Systems). He is the author of several papers on the topic of maintenance of HV equipment, application of GIS technology in the construction of substations, as well as the design and implementation of modern systems for supervising and controlling the electric power system.
